Archive Note
Activation: Micro-Language Models of Art was presented by SUP at MiART Space in Changhua, curated by Hao-Ning Chang as a collateral exhibition of the 2026 InSEA Asia Regional Congress. The exhibition brought questions around arts education, interweaving, and co-creation into a public cultural space. Rather than presenting art only as completed work, Activation approached artistic practice as knowledge formed through research, translation, participation, and relationships. Referencing large language models, Chang proposed Micro-Language Models of Art as an alternative generative logic, where perception, action, and connection replace data, parameters, and computation. Organised through Material, Ecology, Action, and Network, the exhibition gathered artists, collectives, and projects from Taiwan and the UK. This archive documents Activation as a moment of exhibition-making, public learning, and collaborative practice within SUP’s relationship with NCUE, MiART Space, and InSEA 2026.
