Shared Responsibility for a Creative Future: Reflections from the NCUE x SUP 2025 Artist Residency Programme

About the Panel Discussion

In this forum, the two resident artists of the "NCUE x SUP 2025 Taiwan-UK Artist Residency and Exchange Program," Margarita Frančeska Loze and Danny Young, will share their residency experiences and observations since arriving at NCUE on March 7, 2025. Additionally, a panel discussion featuring the program's admin- istrative team members—Damian Rayne, Li-Yan Wang, Samantha Huang, and Amit Rai Sharma—will explore how collaborative efforts can facilitate meaningful cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural exchanges, highlighting the unique value of art. By connecting contemporary art with local traditions and bringing together the strengths of various institutions and communities, this forum invites participants to reflect on how to build a creative future, where art serves as a catalyst for deeper perception, enhanced understanding, and critical questioning.

about NCUE Arts Education Symposium

In the rapidly evolving 21st century, technological advancements have not only reshaped human life but also brought unprecedented possibilities and challenges to arts education. The merging of globalisation and multiculturalism has made interdisciplinary integration one of the key directions for the future of education. This forum, themed "New Frontiers in Art: Interdisciplinary Integration", seeks to explore how technological innovation, diverse narratives, and cross-disciplinary practices can be introduced into arts education to inspire more creative and critical approaches to learning.

The forum is structured around three core themes: technological innovation and future challenges, arts education and diverse narratives, and interdisciplinary integration and educational practice. Its aim is to foster dialogue among educators, researchers, and practitioners, encouraging collective reflection on the future development of arts education. Through keynote speeches, research presentations, and roundtable discussions, the forum hopes to spark innovative thinking, open new horizons for the arts, and examine its role and influence within future societies.
